The vintage 2012 and its wines

The 2012 vintage was marked by weather conditions slightly cooler than normal during the spring and summer. Autumn has given us very good options offering cold nights and sunny days, not warmer seasons, for ripening very very slow. So we harvested the Riesling grape (the only grape planted in Barzen Weinhaus properties) especially late in the early and mid November 2012! The result has been to achieve a fantastic grape ripening and, thanks to the 'cool climate', keeping everything fresh and elegant character.

The 2012 vintage wines are very aromatic, harmonics ... but what really makes the vintage 2012 is a good mineral structure: it could consider the 2010 vintage brothers!

Anyway, a toast and live the Riesling!
