The world over people are searching
for premium locations for vineyards,
for special origins, the best of the best and of most individual
character
– great root is what´s wanted.
The Barzen family estate owns vines that are well over 100 years
old, their naturally lower yields result in intense minerality,
higher concentration and richness.
Unfortunately many of these old vineyards had been destroyed
in the 70s when space was wanted to plant new vines for bigger
crops. We´re always looking
for old vineyards with its ungrafted vines, buying them up to
preserve their enormous potential.
Preserving these old vines while working the fields in the sustained
ecological manner we have been practising for the last 15 years
is one of our goals.
